The AGC of Michigan / MIOSHA Alliance is cooperative effort to work together for a safer construction industry. The alliance features three major parts: promote construction site safety & health, train workers, and inspect construction projects to maintain safe workplaces.
An AGC of Michigan member contractor can join this Alliance on all their projects or single out an individual project that they are willing to agree to participate in the Alliance directives.
By becoming a part of this Alliance, either on an individual project basis or a company wide basis, a member construction company pledges their firm to achieving a high level of safety and health performance. They will also agree to:
Post a banner announcing their expanded safety efforts with the assistance of AGC of Michigan AGC and MIOSHA at all participating job sites.
Promote and offer job site safety and health training opportunities to all employees on their participating job sites and to include a site safety orientation.
Offer an “open door” policy to the MIOSHA CET Division allowing job site safety and health audits at any time during the regular working hours. (CET audits do nor result in citations for safety or health violations; however, the participating company must agree to correct any recognized serious unsafe situation.)
Post a list of all site contractors safety personnel.
