Each year the AGC Workforce Development Committee honors an outstanding Apprentice from each of the civil trades with an Apprentice of the Year Award. These award winners are recognized for their outstanding commitment to their craft by meeting or exceeding the following criteria:
Must be a senior apprentice;
Demonstrate superior attendance and punctuality on the job and in the classroom;
Achieve outstanding craft mastery and productivity;
Exhibit leadership skills and teamwork; Demonstrate Safety Awareness; Show a spirit of competitiveness;
Illustrate a commitment to the craft, the employer and to the community.
Winners received an award plaque and a $1,000 check during the AGC of Michigan's Annual Meeting on March 3, 2023. For more information about apprenticeship contact Barb Strachan or Anne Brown.
