Build Michigan Awards

The Build Michigan Award was established in 1995 by the Professional Service Provider Member Council of the AGC of Michigan as a way to recognize the excellence of an entire project team. The judges consider awards fo​r new construction and renovation work in the following areas:
  • Building Construction ($10 million and over)
  • Building Construction ($10 million or less)
  • Federal & Heavy Construction
  • Construction Management
  • Design-Build
  • Environmental
​For eligibility, projects must have reached substantial completion by November 1, 2024 and November 1, 2025.  The application submittal is closed and winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony on February 27 in Detroit.

The 2025 awards were presented during the AGC of Michigan's Annual Meeting on February 28, 2025.
  • Spence Brothers for the Milliken Nature Center at Arch Rock | Building Construction (less than $10 million)
  • Christman/Brinker Corktown Transformation Joint Venture for the Michigan Central Station | Building Construction
  • Granger Construction Company for the MSU Tom Izzo Football Building Expansion | Construction Management
  • Rhoads & Johnson for the Fessler & Bowman New Corporate Headquarters  | Design-Build
  • Ideal Contracting for the Jason Hargrove Transit Center | Design-Build
  • Walbridge for the GM Design Studio West | Design-Build

2025 GRAND Award Winner
This is a special award developed a few years ago to single out the best of the best and give special attention when deserving to tremendous projects.  This award is only given out when the judges deem it appropriate.
