2023 Student Constructor Awareness Night (SCAN)

SCAN is an annual event designed to expose students to the construction industry and the issues they face once employed. Participation from contractor and industry partner members allows for meaningful interaction between students and industry professionals. The 2023 events were held October 3 in Plymouth and on October 12 in Marquette.

Students from Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan University visited two jobsites (the Ironworkers Local 8's new training facility and the UP Health System's new medical office building II) then had the opportunity to discuss careers in construction with AGC Michigan members from Granger Construction, Closner Construction, and Gundlach Champion, Inc.
