The Education Committee strives to offer current, relevant educational experience for our members and to promote interest in construction education among educators and contractors. The committee is responsible for:
Coordination, development, and promotion of educational programming including AGC EDGE, Supervisory Training Program (STP), seminars, webinars, in-person, virtual, hybrid, ConstructED on-demand programs, and more.
Coordinating the Brightest & Best Luncheon (recognition and awards program for Summer Work Program participants and Scholarship recipients).

Human Resources Exchange
The group is committed to creating a space for Human Resources and similar professionals in construction to network, share ideas, and solve HR related challenges to continue to grow the industry as one of the best to work in. The group has quarterly hybrid meetings which include an employment law update and group discussion, as well as featuring guest speakers and best practice sharing. All members are welcome to attend. Labor Relations Division
The purpose of the Labor Relations Division (LRD) of the AGC of Michigan is to provide Labor Relations services to its members who are signatory to a Collective Bargaining Agreement(s); to promote harmony and understanding between contractors and labor organizations; and to establish reasonable and competitive wage rates and working conditions in the construction industry. Legal Advisory Committee
The Legal Advisory Committee provides a forum for attorneys to exchange information about construction industry issues, conducts projects, and presents educational programs at Chapter functions and in areas where a legal perspective would be beneficial to the membership. NextGen Leaders Forum
The group is dedicated to supporting an active community that focuses on empowering and supporting emerging leaders. The NextGen Leaders Forum embodies AGC’s dedication to innovation, collaboration, and the exchange of fresh ideas, aiming to drive the industry forward through the energy and perspectives of its future leaders. The purpose of the NLF is to act as a conduit for participants to network, exchange ideas about work and the industry, serve local communities and continue their education which includes personal and professional development and leadership skills.

Safety Committee
The AGC of Michigan Safety Committee works to improve industry safety and advises the association on policy matters related to safety and health. All members are welcome to attend. Join here.
Tax and Fiscal Affairs Committee
The AGC Michigan Tax and Fiscal Affairs Committee is geared toward CFO's or those with any accounting and HR functions in a company. The Committee monitors and analyzes tax, fiscal and HR policies to determine their impact on the construction industry.

Technology & Innovation Forum
The Technology & Innovation Forum meets quarterly via Zoom to explore software and services available, discuss current topics, and share best practices amongst practitioners. The Forum meets quarterly and membership is open to all employees of member firms interested in technology and innovation.
The Workforce Development Committee (WFD) has been charged with the following responsibilities: To foster, promote, develop and implement policies, procedures and programs in such manner as to develop an adequate supply of qualified craft workers in the most expeditious, economical and practical manner, oversee the operations, finances and trustee appointments of the chapter-affiliated, joint apprenticeship and training programs, equal employment opportunities, career promotion and industry, vocational education, and governmental liaisons.
The WFD Committee facilitates the following awards at the AGC's Annual Meeting:
Apprentice of the Year for the six civil trades: Bricklayers; Carpenter/Millwrights; Cement Masons/Plasterers; Ironworkers; Laborers; and Operating Engineers
Outstanding Construction Mentor Award
Cornerstone Award for Construction Training Excellence for general contractors and specialty contractors
