The HR Roundtable had its first meeting in May of 2005 and is a ‘value added’ service that is offered our members without any added cost. It gives members some of the tools to cope with today’s increasingly difficult HR environment. Don Bovre and Sam Veltri alternate in the facilitation of the meetings and distribute minutes to members following the meetings. The current members list is attached. We hold four meetings each year to discuss pre-selected agendas of interest to the group. So far we have had meetings with the following Super Topics (Super Topics are the ‘predetermined’ main subject of each meeting)’:

- Compensation
- Health Savings Accounts
- Equal Employment Opportunity
- Recruiting and Retention
- Certificates of Awardability
- Becoming an Employer of Choice
- Training and Development
Other ‘Hot Topics’ that have been discussed are: Company vehicle policies, Self Insurance, Discipline of employees, Expansion into other areas of the US, Current employee relations, Litigation, Annual performance reviews, Salary increases, Training libraries, Strategic planning, and many others.

Membership to the HR Roundtable is open to the ‘Senior HR’ professional of AGC member organizations. This person could be the CFO, Controller, HR Manager, VP of Human Resources, or the President of the organization.
